NASA's budget is .7 of 1% of the Federal Budget. Divided equally among the US population of 292 million-plus people, it costs just $1.06 per person, per week. That's the same as a double cheeseburger with tax.
NASA's budget will only increase a modest 5% during the next three years, with smaller increases after that. Shifts within existing programs will pay for the new Vision.
The Vision will work on a "Go As You Pay" basis, with a reasonable amount of NASA's budget spent each year on Exploration and Discovery.

FEEDBACK: If NASA's Manned Space Program is axed, does it matter?
We know that, if the manned space program is lined out in the President's new budget, and the space program is relegated back to robotic missions, that the economic impact upon all of NASA's centers will be worth billions of lost dollars, and hundreds of thousands (millions) of dissolved jobs and businesses, starting in Houston. Does that matter in the long term?
Is there a new NASA on the horizon (if, indeed, it survives at all), or are we now evolving into a totally privatized space program? Is a public space program still viable, or is it time to turn the routine of space over to better-funded private hands?

I got a chance to view the website and it really looks great, very informative, captivating and inviting, speaking to the mission in a clear and decisive manner. Great work!
~K.T., Washington DC
Thank you for sharing the history and future of NSTA with me, I wish you all the best as you move forward with your concept & vision. I have no doubt it will be a SUCCESS and the start of a new chapter into the future. The possibilities are limitless.
Like I mentioned earlier, Science and Technology has always fascinated me and I think I have been hit by the NSTA BUG.
~ J.N., Houston
I think I looked at every link on the site. Well done my friends. The site is interesting, informative and exciting. Thanks for keeping it up to date. You are doing a terrific job.
~S.W., Houston
I took a look around your website and watched the video presentation, and I must say I am very impressed with its content.
Naturally, the sections on Aerospace and the Space News pages interested me in particular - plenty of futuristic projects mentioned there! But I am of course interested in all aspects of technology.
Your organisation has great scope and vision and I fully support its various aims. Public education through organisations like yours helps spread the word that technological innovation and space exploration aren't simply experiments carried out by boffins to satisfy their curiosity, but they provide real benefits for the human race. Incidentally, I live in the UK.
